Great hockey was played this past weekend at Stanstead College. The school hosted all eight NAPHA teams playing 16 games in the last inter-divisional weekend of the season. Stanstead continued their dominance of their division and the league going 3-0-1 in their four games thereby clinching first place in the McMaster Division with two games remaining in their schedule.
However, it was Rothesay Netherwood School that stepped up and ran the table with four wins on the weekend improving their record to 10-3-1 and finishing in second place in the McMaster Division. In all, the McMaster division went 10-5-1 in their 16 games and commands an overall record of 28-22-2. Trinity College School managed the most wins for the MacLeod Division winning 2 of their 4 games.
With five league games remaining on the schedule, the McMaster Division standings going into the playoffs has been set with Stanstead finishing in top spot followed by Rothesay Netherwood, King’s-Edgehill School and Rice Memorial School respectively. The top spot in the MacLeod Division has been won by Northwood School. Nichols School and Trinity are currently tied for second place and both team have games left on their schedule including a head to head tilt next week. Nichols also has two more games on the schedule against Hoosac School who will finish fourth.
The NAPHA Championship Tournament will take place at Trinity College School on February 23-25, 2018 with games beginning on the Friday at 1:45pm.
